Only two more days until we hand out our presents to some beautiful kiddos! So excited to be able to spoil them a little. THANK you once again to all our sponsors who made this another incredible year. I couldn’t do it without you.

Eres mi mama, verdad?

“You’re my mom, right?” I find these words so heartwrenching to hear when Daniel asks me. My heart would love nothing more than to say, yes yes I am but my head reminds me that if I was he would not be here. He would be growing up in an orphanage and I would spend every day with him. I so long to be that person for him and pray that one day, God willing, I will be able to say “Yes, I am your mother”. But for now I love on him, and tell him he is a very special little boy to me. I cherish every moment spent together and I know that no matter what, having him in my life, no matter for how long, will have made me a better person and can only hope that I will have made an impact on his life as well. I love my sweet little boy. Thankful to have had you in my life for these past five years and pray that there are many more to come xo

Incredibly busy and incredibly happy

This past week has been incredible. We welcomed home to Fundaninos old friends and met new ones, we’ve been planning Christmas dinner, getting some kids matched with shoes and just loving on the kids.

Starting today, Cait, Meredith, Cecilia and I have charge of the peques so the workers can go home over the holidays with their families. They are a very busy bunch of toddlers and will certainly drive me a little crazy but i am so THANKFUL I get the privilege of spending time with them. Love them so much!

Finding joy in every little thing

Yesterday was a perfect example of why I love it here so much. In the morning we celebrated our littlest Luis’ third birthday. I cannot believe he is already 3! Where have the past three years flown by to? Incredible! He is such a smart and kind toddler.

We then handed out some donations, mostly to the boys, and gave out some shoes. I always love their little thankful faces for every thing we bring them. It certainly makes you rethink how much we take for granted.

Finally, we ended the night with some nail painting up at the girls fun while watching a movie. I so enjoy their conversations, questions and teasing. So much fun to be around.

Looking forward to another day here :)

“SHOES FOR CHUS”Well once again my heart almost burst last night when little Chus started dancing around the room after we gave him new shoes. He was SO incredibly happy and his little face in this picture says it all. What a beautiful moment :)
